WEBVTT

00:00:03.837 --> 00:00:06.840
This is inside interior.

00:00:06.923 --> 00:00:08.842
This week we're focused on delivering

00:00:08.842 --> 00:00:12.137
real results for the American people
and the American economy.

00:00:12.554 --> 00:00:16.182
Unlike the Biden administration,
this administration is unlocking

00:00:16.182 --> 00:00:19.853
resources,
reducing barriers and fueling opportunity.

00:00:20.520 --> 00:00:24.065
This week, Americans saw a sharp
decline in energy prices.

00:00:24.315 --> 00:00:28.778
Gasoline is down
nearly 10% and propane is down 2.5%.

00:00:29.070 --> 00:00:31.656
That's real money back in your wallet.

00:00:31.656 --> 00:00:34.743
In addition, under the direction
of President Trump and Secretary

00:00:34.743 --> 00:00:37.746
Burgum,
we're getting rid of regulatory red tape.

00:00:37.829 --> 00:00:39.330
Take the Black Butte mine.

00:00:39.330 --> 00:00:40.540
The department announced

00:00:40.540 --> 00:00:44.419
that the environmental review
will be completed in just 28 days.

00:00:44.627 --> 00:00:48.798
Clearing the way to unlock
9.2 million tons of coal in Wyoming.

00:00:48.798 --> 00:00:50.258
And that's just the beginning.

00:00:50.258 --> 00:00:51.760
This builds on the recent approval

00:00:51.760 --> 00:00:55.388
of a key mining plan modification
for the antelope mine in the Cowboy State.

00:00:55.805 --> 00:01:00.685
This decision unlocks 14.5 million
tons of federally on coal, supports

00:01:00.685 --> 00:01:05.565
over 350 American jobs, and extends
the life of the mine through 2037.

00:01:05.857 --> 00:01:08.777
This isn't just a permit,
it's a promise kept.

00:01:08.777 --> 00:01:10.779
And a boom isn't just beneath our feet.

00:01:10.779 --> 00:01:13.573
It's lifting up communities
across the Gulf Coast.

00:01:13.573 --> 00:01:17.494
The Department announced a raised revenue
sharing cap for coastal states

00:01:17.494 --> 00:01:18.912
in the Gulf of America.

00:01:18.912 --> 00:01:21.664
This increase will add
to our record energy production

00:01:21.664 --> 00:01:25.710
and ensure revenues are flowing back
where they belong to the people.

00:01:25.919 --> 00:01:29.089
Building resilient coastlines,
creating local American jobs.

00:01:29.297 --> 00:01:33.301
Strengthening America
from the ground up in Washington, D.C.,

00:01:33.301 --> 00:01:36.554
the Department of the interior
is taking action to restore pride

00:01:36.554 --> 00:01:38.348
and safety to our capital city.

00:01:38.348 --> 00:01:40.725
Thanks to President Trump's bold action,
the U.S.

00:01:40.725 --> 00:01:42.352
Park Police is back in force.

00:01:42.352 --> 00:01:44.854
And I've heard so many great things
about the Park.

00:01:44.854 --> 00:01:46.022
Police have proud of it.

00:01:46.022 --> 00:01:48.149
They've been there for a long time.

00:01:48.149 --> 00:01:51.152
Their families oftentimes
grow into the roles.

00:01:51.152 --> 00:01:53.279
They love the country.
They love this area.

00:01:53.279 --> 00:01:54.614
So, Doug, could you say a few words?

00:01:54.614 --> 00:01:58.118
But since President Trump's
executive order on March 27th,

00:01:58.326 --> 00:02:01.996
making DC safe and beautiful again,
they continue to do a great job,

00:02:01.996 --> 00:02:03.790
whether it's in their vehicles, on foot

00:02:03.790 --> 00:02:06.626
or on the mounted police
that you see around the National Mall.

00:02:06.626 --> 00:02:08.086
And President Trump, they thank you.

00:02:08.086 --> 00:02:11.089
The rank and file is so happy
to be enforcing the law again.

00:02:11.172 --> 00:02:14.592
In addition, this week, Secretary Burgum
met with the All Pueblo

00:02:14.592 --> 00:02:19.430
Council of Governors representing 20
sovereign Pueblo nations across New Mexico

00:02:19.430 --> 00:02:23.017
and Texas from protecting sacred sites
to resource management.

00:02:23.226 --> 00:02:26.855
This partnership reflects the enduring
strength of America's tribal nations

00:02:27.063 --> 00:02:30.400
and our shared promise to respect
and defend their sovereignty.

00:02:30.483 --> 00:02:32.735
That's all for
this week's Inside Interior.
