Current Students

Current Students must be enrolled in high school, college, trade school, or another qualifying educational institution.

Pathways Internship Program - This program offers paid opportunities to work in federal agencies and explore federal careers while completing your degree. Search all Pathways Internships on USAJOBS.
Post-Secondary Student Hiring Authority - This program offers time-limited appointments of up to one year, but not to exceed four years for current students enrolled on at least a half-time basis.

Recent Graduates

Recent Graduates must be hired within two years of graduation from a qualifying educational institution or certificate program. Veterans have up to six years to apply due to their military service obligation.

College Graduate Hiring Authority - This program offers appointments to a permanent position.
Pathways Recent Graduates Program - This program offers career development with training and mentorship. Search all Pathways Recent Grads opportunities on USAJOBS.
Presidential Management Fellows Program (PMF) - This program is for recent graduates with an advanced degree - either a professional or graduate degree. You must have completed a degree within two years of the annual application opening date; or expect to complete all degree requirements by August 31 following the opening date of the annual application.

Individuals with Disabilities

Federal agencies can use the Schedule A Hiring Authority to hire an individual with a disability. Search all Schedule A opportunities on USAJOBS.

Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) - A recruitment and referral program that connects federal and private-sector employers nationwide with highly motivated college students and recent graduates with disabilities who are eager to demonstrate their abilities in the workplace through summer or permanent jobs.
