Departmental Offices

Office of the Secretary 

The Office of the Secretary includes the Immediate Office of the Secretary, certain secretarial officers, designated staff immediately serving those officials and offices which serve department-wide functions or perform program functions directly on behalf of the Secretary. 

Office of Policy, Management and Budget (PMB) 

The Office of Policy, Management and Budget (PMB) is responsible for a variety of cross-cutting management and operational issues that directly affect the Department's ability to fulfill its mission. This includes the Office of Natural Resources Revenue which collects, accounts for, and verifies energy and mineral revenues and then distribute the funds to States, American Indians, and the U.S. Treasury. 

Office of the Solicitor 

The Office of the Solicitor performs the legal work for the United States Department of the Interior and manages the Departmental Ethics Office and Departmental FOIA Office

Office of the Inspector General 

The Office of the Inspector General provides independent oversight to promote accountability, integrity, economy, efficiency and effectiveness within the Department.  

Office of the Chief Information Officer 

The Office of the Chief Information Officer provides leadership to the Department and its bureaus in all areas of information management and technology.  

Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Civil Rights 

The Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Civil Rights develops and enforces civil rights and equal opportunity programs pursuant to existing laws, Executive Orders and regulations and to ensure equal opportunity for all Departmental employees and federally assisted programs by the Department.
