Alaska Peninsula Area Federal Subsistence Fishing News Release #01

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Federal Fisheries Manager for the Bristol Bay/Alaska Peninsula/Aleutian Islands/Chignik Areas will be conducting a public fishery stakeholder’s hearing on Tuesday, June 27 at 6:00 pm.

The meeting will be at the Cold Bay Community Center and via Teams and teleconference.  The Federal manager is interested in hearing from the public about potential in-season fisheries management actions and temporary or emergency Federal subsistence regulations for newly rescinded closures in Trout and Russell Creeks.  

The public is encouraged to provide comments to the Federal manager on possible management actions and regulations.
