The Federal subsistence salmon fishery will be closed by emergency action to adhere to the terms of the Pacific Salmon Treaty. A temporary action to enact a Federal subsistence Sockeye Salmon fishery is under consideration by the in-season manager, and they are seeking public input on this at a public hearing scheduled for June 17 from 6pm – 7pm at the Juneau Ranger District.
