Secretary Salazar Visits North Dakota for Energy Expo and Tour of Wildlife Refuge
Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar was a keynote speaker at the Great Plains Energy Showcase and Expo sponsored in part by Bismarck State College. He said the President's comprehensive energy strategy seeks to responsibly develop all fronts and that North Dakota offers significant conventional and renewable resources that can help to reduce America's dependence on foreign energy while creating new jobs.
Earlier in the day the Secretary met employees of the Audubon National Wildlife Refuge in Coleharbor and toured construction of their new $6.1 million visitor center funded by the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act.
