Secretary of the Interior Attends Local Earth Day 2009 Event

Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar joined the annual Interior Department Earth Day event in Rawlins Park across the street from the historic main interior building in Washington D.C. Earth Day 2009 was sponsored by the three organizations that border the park; Interior, Office of Personnel Management and the General Services Administration. Alternative energy was on display at Earth Day 2009 with a fuel cell and an electric hybrid vehicle. The event featured a Green Fair and disposal of computers, batteries and hazardous household liquids.
