WASHINGTON -- Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt released the following statement on President Donald J. Trump's State of the Union Address.

"The state of our Union is exceptional. Three years ago, President Trump promised to tackle the real issues facing Americans, and he has delivered on those promises across the government. At the Department of the Interior, we have implemented a commonsense approach to regulatory reform, saving taxpayers more than $5 billion; unleashed the potential of responsible energy development; expanded public lands access for hunting and fishing on over 1.7 million acres; and secured more than $3 billion to improve the infrastructure of our National Parks. We will continue to advance President Trump's agenda for a safer, stronger and more prosperous America." -- Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt
