Today, the Interior Department announced that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has given final approval to a new solar energy project on public lands in California. The Crimson Solar Project represents an investment of roughly $550 million and has the potential to deliver enough power to energize approximately 87,500 homes.

Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland today announced the approval of $927,000 for the Tribal Youth Coastal Restoration Program, which will fund projects estimated to restore up to 1,000 acres of wildlife habitat on Tribal lands along the Gulf Coast. Today, Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland and Domestic Policy Advisor Susan Rice convened the first meeting of the White House Council on Native American Affairs in the Biden-Harris Administration.
