Public Hearing Announced for Wildlife Special Action Request WSA24-04 Regarding Moose Season Extension in Unit 12

Temporary Wildlife Special Action Request WSA24-04, submitted by the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park Subsistence Resource Commission, requests the Federal Subsistence Board (Board) extend the end of the fall moose season by 10 days in the portion of Unit 12 within the Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge and those lands within the Wrangell-St. Elias National Preserve north and east of a line formed by the Pickerel Lake Winter Trail from the Canadian border to Pickerel Lake. The season dates would change from Aug. 24—Sep. 20 to Aug. 24—Sep. 30 for the 2024 and 2025 regulatory years
