Meeting Advisory: Federal Subsistence Regional Advisory Councils to hold public meetings

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Federal Subsistence Regional Advisory Councils will hold public meetings between September 15 and October 29, 2026, to develop recommendations on proposals to change 2027-2029 Federal subsistence fish and shellfish regulations and discuss other issues affecting subsistence in their regions. Public comments on fisheries proposals submitted by July 31 will be included in Council meeting materials.

The meetings will take place in person. The public is welcome and encouraged to participate in-person or by teleconference or Microsoft Teams.

The meeting schedule is as follows; however, meeting dates and locations are subject to change based on weather or local circumstances:

Individual teleconference numbers and passcodes, meeting times, and venues will be provided on meeting agendas when distributed as well as posted together with all meeting materials approximately two weeks prior to each meeting and may be found here: https://www.doi.gov/subsistence/regions. You may also request to have the documents mailed (USPS) or emailed to you by sending your request to subsistence@ios.doi.gov or calling (800) 478-1456.

Reasonable Accommodations: The Federal Subsistence Board is committed to providing for all participants.
