Federal Subsistence Regional Advisory Councils to hold public meetings Public is welcome and encouraged to participate

Previous announcement stated an incorrect meeting place for the Eastern Interior Alaska and Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta Subsistence Regional Advisory Council. The changes are highlighted in yellow.

The Federal Subsistence Regional Advisory Councils will hold public meetings between February and April 2023 to develop proposals to change Federal subsistence hunting and trapping regulations for the 2024-2026 regulatory years and discuss other issues affecting subsistence in their regions.

The meetings will be held in-person. The public is welcome and encouraged to participate in these meetings in-person or by teleconference. 

Please be informed that per Department of the Interior guidance for all in-person meetings, when the COVID-19 community level is HIGH as reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), all in-person attendees must wear masks when indoors, regardless of vaccination status and consistent with CDC and Task Force guidance on mask-wearing.  

Before attending the meeting in-person, first, please check the COVID-19 community level at https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#datatracker-home for the community where the meeting you plan to attend is scheduled to be held. Masks will be provided at the door.

You may also request to have the documents mailed (USPS) or e-mailed to you by sending your request to subsistence@fws.gov or calling (800) 478-1456.
