Meeting Advisory: Federal Subsistence Board to Hold Work Session

ANCHORAGE, Alaska—The Federal Subsistence Board (Board) will hold a work session on August 4-5, 2026, in the Gordon Watson Conference Room of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Regional Office in Anchorage, at 1011 E. Tudor Road. The August 4 session begins at 9 a.m. Alaska time and will run until the Board concludes its work; the August 5 session begins at 1:30 p.m. and will adjourn upon completion.

The Board will review replies to Regional Advisory Councils’ Fiscal Year 2025 Annual Reports, discuss the Chairs’ salmon workshop results and next steps, and address Council correspondence to the Board and Board/Council correspondence to the Secretaries. The Board will also act on Wildlife Special Action Request WSA26-04, requesting a winter moose season in a portion of Unit 24A for the 2026-2028 regulatory cycle.

On the morning of August 5, the Board will hold a closed executive session to discuss recommendations for Council appointments.
