Museum of the Plains Indian announces its 2024 Winter Exhibition: Newly Acquired Contemporary Works from the Museum of the Plains Indian Collection

BROWNING, MONTANA: The Museum of the Plains Indian (MPI), administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Indian Arts and Crafts Board, announces its 2024 Winter Exhibition: Newly Acquired Contemporary Works From The Museum Of The Plains Indian Collection, featuring a selection of 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional works. The exhibition will run from December 16, 2024, to May 23, 2025.   

 

The exhibition will feature recent additions to the MPI collection from various Native American artists including William Brien, Ishkoten Dougi, Terrance Guardipee, Jeremy Johnson, Terran Last Gun, Ernest Marceau, Barbara-Gerard Mitchell, Darrell Norman, Howard Pepion, James Red Fox, Bobby Von Martin and Jay Young Running Crane. The new acquired artwork includes oil and acrylic paintings and 3-dimensional items of rawhide, buckskin, beadwork, and alabaster.
