The CRB has destroyed 20 percent of Guam's coconut trees, and has now spread to Rota, where teams are working hard to prevent it from spreading.

The U.S. Virgin Islands Office of Disaster Recovery (ODR) was launched in 2019 with $3,000,0000 from the Office of Insular Affairs, provided through the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018, Public Law 115 – 123. The ODR continues to manage over 1,500 hurricane disaster recovery projects for the territory, and now serves a secondary additional role of coordinating COVID-19 pandemic funding.
