Office of Planning and Performance Management

The Office of Planning and Performance Management's goals are to support data-driven decisions through evidence building efforts, shifting away from compliance activities and toward actions that will support the availability of high-quality data and transparency, to ensure programs and projects deliver critical services to the American public efficiently and effectively. 

The Office is headed by a Director who reports to the Deputy Assistant Secretary – Environment and Policy Management. The Office is responsible for the implementation of the Government Performance and Results Modernization Act of 2010 (GPRAMA), the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act of 2018 (Evidence Act), OMB Circular A-123 Management's Responsibility for Internal Controls, and the Program Management Improvement Accountability Act of 2016 (PMIAA).
