Entries sought for Subsistence Student Art Contest 

The Federal Subsistence Management Program is sponsoring its annual art contest for all students in Alaska grades K-12. Deadline for submission is February 20, 2026. This year, entries will focus on subsistence wildlife and one winner will be selected. The winner’s artwork will be published on the cover of the 2026-2028 Subsistence Management Regulations for the Harvest of Wildlife on Federal Public Lands in Alaska book, which will be distributed statewide. The art contest offers an exciting opportunity for students to express their talent and creativity while sharing their knowledge of subsistence resources.   

Each entry must be 8.5 by 11 inches and have a theme related to wildlife subsistence species or activities in Alaska. All artwork must be original. Submit entries to:

Entries must be postmarked by February 20, 2026.
