Public, Get Involved!

Public input is a cornerstone to the Federal Subsistence Management Program. Here are some ways you can get involved.

Provide testimony at a Public Hearing on a Wildlife or Fisheries Special Action Request (next hearing scheduled for April 9, 2026).

Participate in a Regional Advisory Council meeting, or consider applying for a seat on your Council. 

Provide input at a Federal Subsistence Board meeting. This includes input on specific proposals currently under consideration, or subsistence topics in general.

Attend scheduled Tribal or ANCSA Corporation consultations, or request to schedule a consultation. 

Provide written comments on specific proposals currently under consideration. (More information will be provided here when the next opportunity for written comments opens).
