Recent Board Actions - How do they affect you?

WP26-03: Adopted as modified by the Southeast AK RAC by the Board at their April 2026 regulatory meeting. This closes deer hunting to non-federally qualified users in all of Unit 2 from July 24–August 15 and reduces the harvest limit for non-federally qualified userss to one buck.

WP26-31: Adopted by the Board at their April 2026 regulatory meeting. This closes BLM lands in Unit 13 to moose hunting by non-federally qualified users. 

WP26-32: Adopted by the Board at their April 2026 regulatory meeting with Board modification to add all residents of the Kodiak Island road system, east of the line from Crag Point south to the westernmost point of Saltery Cove, including Anton Larsen Bay but not including residents of Kodiak Station Census Designated Place (CDP) to the customary and traditional use determination for brown bear in Unit 8.

WP26-75: Adopted as modified by OSM by the Board at their April 2026 regulatory meeting. This closes moose hunting by non-federally qualified users from Sep. 10-20 within the targeted closure area of Unit 25D remainder, consisting of a 10-mile corridor (5 miles either side) along the Yukon River and 5-mile corridors (2.5 miles either side) along Birch Creek (including Upper and Lower Mouths), the Sheenjek River to river mile 60, the Porcupine River, Black River, and Chandalar River.)
