Library Programs

Park Ranger Speaker Series

The Interior Library is proud to present a series of programs on the background and history of sites of interest in the Washington, D.C. region and around the country. Programs highlighting the history of the United States are also offered. The one-hour programs, presented by National Park Service Rangers, are presented virtually via webinar and are recorded.

Training Sessions

The Interior Library offers regular training sessions especially for U.S. Department of the Interior employees that cover researching subjects of interest to the Department of the Interior, using the Interior Library, and using information sources made available by the Library, either on employees' desktops or in person. The one-hour programs are presented virtually via webinar and are recorded.

The DOI Reads Book Club

In Spring 2016 the Interior Library launched its own book club. Each meeting will feature a different book, which will be announced on this website. The club will continue to meet every six weeks, and all are welcome to join. Topics will rotate but will relate to the mission of the Department of Interior.

Feel free to bring your lunch and any questions, insights or thoughts you have about the book. The Library will not have enough copies to lend it to all participants, so please purchase it or borrow it from your local library. We will have a copy on reserve in the Library if you'd like to stop by and read it here.

The one-hour programs are presented virtually via Zoom. Advance RSVPs are appreciated, but everyone is welcome regardless, and finishing the book is not a requirement to participate.

Please spread the word about the Book Club to your colleagues and friends who you think might like to join us.
